Harare

We had a wonderful few days back in Harare, staying with the lovely couple we stayed with when we arrived in Zim over a month ago. It just so happens this couple also have a small house about 20mins drive from andy's parents in Norfolk-small world!

They have a lovely little cottage in their garden, which was so nice for us to use. It was such a treat to be able to have our own space to chill out in.

Whilst there we read alot, updated our journals (which are now already out of date!), visited the town centre, went for a delicious meal, visited a huge sculpture park & just enjoyed hanging out with our fun hosts & their 2 entertaining sausage dogs.

We went to a wildlife centre, where we saw 2 fat crocodiles, 4 ostriches performing their mating dance, 2 huge tortoises & a few zebras from afar. Like most of Zim, the park was very run down with few animals compared to what there had been in the past which is sad.

Spending these few days was such a relaxing & special time for us. We got the 5hour bus from Harare back to Bulawayo & enjoyed the walk from town back home. In the evening we enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with 20 other people from across the globe......fun times.
