Shooting Stars

just sitting in an amzaing hotel over looking the Indian Ocean...don't want to rub it in, but the view is incredible! we've been very blessed, as the hotel owner is letting us use the internet for free, even though we're not staying here - really kind of him, and even said we could use his infinity pool!

We're really enjoying ourselves in Jambiani...the people are very friendly and we can't get over the colour of the sea - alomost three different colours of turquiose, sky blue and dark blue. We did a spice tour the other day, and a danish couple had a pair of snorckles, so andy was able to borrow them, and saw some amazing fish - so many colours, shapes and sizes. We loved seeing how spices are grown, and have got some great photos to show you - not managed to upload any yet, but hope to at some point :)

It's funny because over the next three days, the people of Jambiani are having a special Eid celebration, one week later than the rest of Tanzania, so it's gunna be party party party across the village. Our lodge is on the beach front, quite simple, but we have our own bathroom for a very good price. The owners are hilarious, and work very hard at making sure there are good reggae tunes playing throughout the day and night, and we've not seen them without a joint yet. ha ha.

Last night we went for a lovely candlelit meal on the beach, and spent the rest of the evening gazing up at the stars and saw two shooting ones- absolutely incredible! Andy's planning to do some jamming on the beach tonight as part of the celebrations - there's a lot of djembe's around here.
